Church of the Passion of Jesus

The prominent Croatian artist Jeronim Tišljar has decorated the interior of the new church in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia. The full story from Creation to the resurrection of Christ is portrayed on the walls and windows of the Church. The artist has expressed a unique style of iconography with multiple layers that can be seen in materials.

Using airbrushed, tempered and laminated glass, along with glass mosaic, the artist gave way to divine light shows and a very stimulating atmosphere that reflects the story of the life of Christ. Various techniques were used in order to add to this; from fusing and forming the glass up to sandblasting and hand painting of the glass.
