Franciscan Monastery

Sinj, Croatia
Artist: Duje Botteri
Production: Bokart 2014

In the atrium of the Marian Shrine of Our Lady of Sinj, beautiful dynamic and vivid stained glass windows by the artist Duje Botteri have been installed. The monastery atrium has been brought to life with an abstract, masterful depiction of the lives of St. Francis and the Franciscan brothers through well-known stories of the saint's life.
Duje Botteri is a talented and versatile artist who perhaps understands monastic life best. Here, through his expression, he has made a significant contribution to enhancing the value of the monastery and its famous atrium with his vision of life.

The chosen working technique attests to this, where the glass was created with very careful application of colors that emerged after sufficient contemplation and precision in work. The final appearance, which gives depth and elegance to the glass, is the result of focused and dedicated work.
The glass was crafted using the technique of glass fusion with glass pigments in translucent forms, protected by insulating glass according to modern standards to fit into the given architectural structure.
